I really enjoy gathering and using natural materials in my work. Working with the elements of nature brings me to a place of peace and a feeling of connection with basket, gourd and pottery makers across cultures, continents and centuries. These arts have been with mankind since the dawn of time.  I find it comforting to know that even in this world of cutting edge technology; all basketry is still made by hand.  No machine can make a basket.
